desiignerr brother, same goes for me. i guess you are right. SSL in these free planes, deactivates tags. Check out this link; http://tech365.zya.me . This website does not have any ssl certificate. If you share this link in somewhere, it will show thumbnail. If you add https before it, it stops working.
