It's normal, When the directory in your website does not have an index file it will show the directory contents and if any folder or file is not available in your FTP then it will redirect to the 404 not found page.
You can customize your own custom 404 pages from the Error Pages option in the vPanel. If you don't want the directory listing to show you can create an index file in the directory so that the index file will open instead of the directory contents.
